Hurricane Force Winds with Alaska Storm

Yesterday, Janet posted about the history making storm hitting Alaska, and right she was.  Wind gusts climbed into the 70 mph range over western Alaska yesterday, with a few spots gusting even above 80 mph!

Overwhelming Amounts of Rain From Lee Remnants

Lee may have weakened as it followed the Appalachians to the Northeast earlier this week, but the moisture was still present.  While Texans struggle with wild fires and a continuing severe drought, the Northeast had the opposite problem; too much rain.
