About Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson is the Chief Long Range Forecaster and Chief Science Officer for Telvent DTN, working out of the Minneapolis, MN office. Jeff graduated with a bachelor of science degree in meteorology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He became an American Meteorological Society Certified Consulting Meteorologist in 1993. The title of CCM is the most prestigious meteorological recognition, awarded by the American Meteorological Society only to those meteorologists who pass a rigorous level of evaluation and demonstrate superior expertise in the field of meteorology.
His experience in meteorology comes from over 30 years of weather forecasting for various industries including Energy, Aviation and Transportation. In addition to the operational side of meteorology, Jeff has been involved in training, product development and management. His front-line experience and customer contact has helped to him to craft clear and concise messages to users of weather information.
Jeff currently focuses his time on the medium and long range weather forecasts that are utilized in a wide array of Telvent DTN products ranging from the 10 day City Forecasts to one of our Expert Discussions on long range weather.
