Jon Chrzanowski is the Team Lead Meteorologist for the transportation industry at Telvent DTN.  Jon joined Telvent DTN in May of 2007 and has over 25 years experience in operational weather forecasting. Before joining the Telvent DTN team, Jon was a Senior Lead Meteorologist at Surface Systems, Inc, in St. Louis, MO.

Having been born and raised in northwest Indiana, Jon had a fascination with lake effect snow, as South Bend certainly received their share. There were several crazy winter seasons in the middle to late '70's - the blizzard of 1978 being the most memorable as it paralyzed the area and he could not deliver newspapers on his paper route for four days!

Perhaps Jon's fascination of winter storms has led him to his position here today at Telvent DTN. Being the team lead meteorologist for the transportation industry, Jon manages a team of eight meteorologists specializing in forecasting snow and ice and its adverse affects on the traveling public. His primary goal is to assist our customers in keeping that snow and ice off of the roads. Jon's group also forecasts summertime severe weather for a variety of customers within the transportation and energy industries.

Jon enjoys talking with our customers, and his team prides themselves in knowing most of them on a first name basis. "It's fun talking about the weather."
