Back we go on our quest to overview and understand Special NIST Document 1108, the NIST Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards. This week, YHA (your humble author) will walk the ISGO (interested Smart Grid observer) through Chapt 6, Cyber Security Strategy.
Welcome. Â After last weekâs break to discuss National Energy policy, we return to our quest to overview and understand Special NIST Document 1108, the NIST Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards. Â This week, YHA (your humble author) will walk the ISGO (interested Smart Grid observer) through Chapt 5, the Roadmap to Interopâs Priority Action Plans, or PAPs.
Welcome. For the past 4 or 5 weeks, we have been on a quest to overview and understand Special NIST Document 1108, the NIST Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards. But for this week, YHA (your humble author) thought it might be good to take a break from that topic, as riveting as it is for you the ISGO (interested Smart Grid observer.) âWhyâ, you might ask, âwould we stop the avalanche of interest in interop that we have going for us? Why dash the hopes of thousands of loyal readers such as us, glued to every line, yearning to learn more about the Roadmap?"
Welcome. Onward we go on our journey to overview and understand Special NIST Document 1108, the NIST Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards. Over the recent past and in the near future YHA (your humble author) will guide you, the ISGO (interested Smart Grid observer) on a simple quest, with the goal of knowing when and where to look more deeply into this important document when you need to. If you want to catch up, you can review the previous weekâs blogs, or send me an email and Iâll get you the text. This week, weâre going to delve into Chapt 4 â Standards Identified for Implementation. It might sound dry, but stay with us for a minute. Youâll find that, in fact, standards can be darn close to mildly interesting. Kidding. This stuff is pretty important, so pls read on.
Welcome. If youâve been with us up til now, you will doubtless recall that YHA (your humble author) is on a quest to provide you, the ISGO (interested smart grid observer) with an overview of Special NIST Document 1108, the NIST Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards. This week we intend to focus in on an important Chapt, that being No. 3, The Conceptual Reference Model. If you are a first-time offender, it might be helpful to refer back to last weekâs blog to get an overview of the whole document. Or you can go to the one before that and read them in series, if you are having trouble sleeping or something.
