New tools were added in ProphetX v3.10 that allow you to easily and quickly compare multiple Symbols.
Although you could always add multiple Symbols to a ProphetX chart and make comparisons, it was a slow and arduous process if you did it often.
For example, to add a Symbol to an existing ProphetX Chart:
1. Right-Click, select Add Symbol
2. Type in the new Symbol.
3. Click OK to add it to the chart.
To remove it from the Chart, Right-Click, select Delete.
What if you wanted to re-add the same Symbol … go to Step 1 above and REPEAT!
And if you wanted to add an Average, Spread, or Ratio, you would need to add a User Custom Study, which is usually too advanced for the average user.
Introducing the Focus List and Comparison Charting tools.
Focus List: basically, the Focus List is a list box that contains ALL of the symbols you are interested in adding to a Chart to compare. Once you add your Symbols to the Focus List, you will always have them available to chart with a SINGLE MOUSE CLICK!
Comparison Charting Tool: after selecting two or more Symbols to compare, click on the Tool and select Spread, Average, or Ratio. Not only is the calculation added to your Chart, but it is also added to your Focus List so you can add/remove it from your Chart with a SINGLE MOUSE CLICK!
Focus List Example: this chart demonstrates how I have added several Crude Oils, Gasoline, Heating Oil, an Average and Spread, and Crack functions to a chart. With a single Mouse Click in the box to the left of the Symbol, any of these items can be added or removed!
